Mer-Égée

Mer - EGEE ( German " Aegean Sea " ) was from 1797 to 1798 and from 1807 to 1808 a French department.

As one of the three departments of the Ionian Islands, it included the islands of Zakynthos, Kythira, the Strofades and Dragamesto (now Astacus ) on the Greek mainland.

The other departments were Corcyre and Ithaque.
