Mercury Marine
Mercury Marine is a manufacturer of outboard motors with the Mercury brand and inboard engines with the brand MerCruiser.

History
The company was founded in 1939 and is now a subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation (USA). It was named by its founder Carl Kiekhaefer after the Roman messenger god Mercury (English Mercury ).
During the Second World War, the company also produced two-man saws and became the largest manufacturer. Mercury Marine is a leading manufacturer of boat engines.
Outboard Motors
According to the rules of the "EPA " and the " RCD " must inter alia comply with certain emission limits new boat engines. This is not possible with conventional carburettor technology in two-stroke engines. Mercury produces both two-stroke engines with fuel injection (EFI ) and four-stroke engines.

Since May 2012 sells Mercury Marine in an exclusive partnership with Volkswagen Marine engines, the TDI Boat engines from Volkswagen worldwide.
