Merinos is a village in Uruguay.

Geography

It is located in the Cuchilla de Haedo in the field of departments of Río Negro and Paysandú (sector 5) on their common border. A few kilometers away north-westerly direction are the two places Beisso and Piñera, while in the east Poblado Alonso and Morato are the nearest larger settlements. In place of the Arroyo del curupi has its source.

Population

For Merinos 540 inhabitants were recorded in the census in 2004 in the department of Río Negro 16 inhabitants and in the department of Paysandú registered ..
