Merkholtz

Merkholz ( Lux: Mäerkels; French: Merkholtz ) is a district of the municipality of Luxembourg Kiischpelt. In the village of 98 inhabitants ( 8 August 2006).

Geography

Merkholz lies on a high plateau overlooking the Wiltz halfway the railway line between the towns of Wiltz and Kautenbach, at the Merkholz has a breakpoint.

The local church is dedicated to St. Bartholomew.
