Carousel ( Körhinta ) by Zoltán Fabri is one of the most famous films in the history of film in Hungary. Although the contents of the 1955 film turned meets the propaganda clichés of Stalinism. Fabris Director and the bold camera work and the allure of the then very young actress Mari Törőcsik made the film but one of the most acclaimed films of the 9th International Film Festival of Cannes 1956.

Mari Pataki, the daughter of a wealthy farmer, who has withdrawn from the newly established agricultural cooperative again, falls in love with the young cooperative member Maté Biró. But your father has other plans. "Land marries country," he formulates his archaic philosophy, and he has chosen a large farmers as future husband for his daughter. Everything points to a dramatic and tragic end, but last reason prevails: The lovers may find each other, and the representatives of the " old days" to take their defeat note.
