Mersing River

The Mersing ( Malaysian Sungai Mersing ) is a small river about 20 kilometers in the south -east of the Malay Peninsula in the state of Johor near the border of Pahang. The river flows from south to north and empties into Mersing in the South China Sea. The estuary serves as a port for fishing and ferry service to the islands. However, the river bed is so shallow that the Ferry Timetables must be adapted to the tides.
