Mervyn Wall

Mervyn Wall ( b. 1908 in Dublin, † 1997) was an Irish writer.

Life

Wall was educated at Belvedere College (University College Dublin) and later at the University of Bonn. After successfully completing his studies he worked 1934-1948 at the Irish Civil Service. 1948 moved to Wall Radio Ireland ( RTÉ ) and remained there until 1957.

Between 1957 and 1975 led Wall as managing the Arts Council in Dublin. For many years he wrote regular columns for the arts section of the newspaper The Evening Press.

Married Wall was with the music and theater critic Frances Feehan.
