Messier 23

Messier 23 (M23, also known as NGC 6494 ) is one of the six brightest open clusters in the summer constellation of Sagittarius ( Sagittarius ). He has a brightness of 5.5 mag and an angular extent of 27 '.

Some degrees east - almost in the center of the Milky Way - the small Sagittariuswolke ( M24 ) and comparable with M23 star cluster Messier 25
