Metabarons

The meta- Barone ( OT: La Caste of Méta barons ) is a science fiction comic book series by Alejandro Jodorowsky (Author) and Juan Giménez ( drawing) in eight volumes. The figure of the Meta - Barons appeared earlier in the series John Difool of Jodorowsky and Moebius. The volumes first appeared in French in 1992-1998. The German translation was published in the years 1996-2004.

The key element of the series is the Meta -Baron, an ultimate, almost invincible warrior. The series includes four generation of Metabaronen. It is in each band, a figure of the dynasty of Metabarone at the center:

• First Band - Othon von Salza
• Second Band - Honorata
• Fifth Band - Iron Main grandfather
• Sixth Band - Doña Vincenta Gabriela de Rokha the grandmother
• Seventh Band - Aghora, the Father-Mother
• Roller Band - Nameless the last of the meta- Barone

The figure of the Meta - Barons is the course of action recurring patterns in behavior and character. Thus, the new meta -Baron is suspended by his predecessor physical and psychological stress, to the torture. The aim of this abuse is to create a fighter who has no more suffering sensation. As a result of this socialization, the protagonist suffers from loneliness and depression. So the author a character with ambivalent personality is drawn - while the meta -Baron is nearly perfect as a warrior, his human inadequacy leads to a state of permanent dissatisfaction.
