The Methodist University College Ghana (German Methodist University Ghana) (short: MUCG ) in Accra Dansoman District is a University College which is affiliated to the University of Ghana.

History

In 1997, Rt Rev. Dr Samuel Asante Antwi said in a speech to the 36th annual conference of the Methodist Church in Ghana in Cape Coast by the establishment of a Methodist university. Already in August 2000 gave the National Accreditation Board for the first time admission, which was confirmed in 2002. With 80 students, the University began teaching in November 2000 and has risen to the academic year 2007, 2830 students.

Faculties

At the MUCG previous four faculties were established:

  • Faculty of Business Administration ( Faculty of Business Administration)
  • Faculty of Social Sciences ( Faculty of Social Studies )
  • Faculty of General Studies ( Faculty of General Studies )
  • Faculty of Agriculture ( Faculty of Agriculture)

The Faculty of Agriculture is the youngest faculty. She took the first time in 2006/2007, their work, and awards degrees in horticulture, agricultural production processes and agribusiness. For the first time in this faculty to the academic year 2007/2008 financial statements acquired.

The School of General Studies to prepare a Bachelor in English and religion / ethics. Total courses in English, French, religion, ethics, logic, ethology, entrepreneurship and computer courses are offered.

The social science faculty is preparing for degrees in business, psychology, information technology, economics / statistics and advice.

The business administration faculty offers courses in accounting, banking / finance, human resources and marketing.
