Metres above the Adriatic

Meters above the Adriatic Sea is an indication of the height above sea level, based on 1875 and 1900 fixed average water levels of the Adriatic at the Molo Sartorio of Trieste. The information is today still used in Austria and the Yugoslav successor states. Other successor states of Austria - Hungary in the former Eastern Bloc were changed after the Second World War on the height definition Kronstadt level.
