Mezőkövesd-Zsóry SE

Mezőkövesd - Zsóry Sport Egyesület is a Hungarian football club from Mezőkövesd. The association, which never became a Hungarian football champions to date, currently plays in the Nemzeti National Championship, the highest Hungarian League and plays its home matches at the Városi Stadium, which seats 5,020 spectators.

History

The association Mezőkövesd - Zsóry Sport Egyesület was founded on January 31 of the year 1975 in the city Mezőkövesd in Northeast Hungary. In the first years of its existence the club for many years languished around in the lower leagues of the Hungarian regional football before the mid-nineties for the first time, the rise in the Nemzeti National Championship III, the third- highest division of the Hungarian football, succeeded. There could be for four years, before again the descent had to be accepted into the amateur camp for one year. Once there, the direct re-emergence was mastered to Mezőkövesd - Zsóry SE was able to finally establish himself in the third division. In the third league season 2006/ 07 then you even made the first ascent in the Nemzeti National Championship II, Hungary's second highest football league. Here it was then, however, Last and immediately rose again. But only a year later Mezőkövesd - Zsóry SE was second-rate again after it was 2008/ 09 with a first rank achieved in the Nemzeti National Championship III direct resurgence.

As a result, Mezőkövesd - Zsóry SE was able to immediately establish in the upper realms of the second Hungarian football league and played year after year, sometimes more, sometimes less, to move up with. A second place in the 2010/11 season was the most successful result for the time being, here you missing out on promotion by only six points over Diósgyőri VTK. In the season 2012/13 it was then but so far Mezőkövesd - Zsóry SE played a strong season, landed at the end on the first place of the season one of the Nemzeti National Championship II with three points ahead of Vasas Budapest, and managed for the first time in club history the rise in the Nemzeti National Championship.
