Linas Pilibaitis

Linas Pilibaitis ( born April 5, 1985 in Kretinga ) is a Lithuanian footballer. He plays since 2014 VMFD Zalgiris Vilnius in the A Lyga, the highest Lithuanian league.

Career

Pilibaitis began his career with FBK Kaunas. In the first season he was able to celebrate the championship, furthermore, the Supercup was won. 2003, the championship title was defended. In 2004 he was awarded by the FBK at Atlantas Klaipeda. The association could achieve surprising third place with the central midfielder. In the 2005 season he was back in the squad of Kaunas, this season it was runner-up, but the club could win the cup. Again in 2006 the championship was won, and again the Supercup.

In January 2007 he was loaned to Scottish club Heart of Midlothian. His debut in the Scottish Premier League, he was on 5 March 2007 against FC Motherwell, when he played through and got a yellow card. The game was won in Motherwell 2-0. At the end of the season, the hearts were fourth. He returned in the summer of 2007 back to Kaunas and celebrated his fourth title. 2008 it became vice champion and cup winner. He was also in this season with Kaunas relatively successful in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers on the road when he scored five goals in six inserts ( two hits in the two games against FC Santa Coloma of Andorra and the decisive goal against Rangers which were surprisingly off).

In January 2009 he moved to Hungary and Gyori ETO FC signed for, with whom he reached the third place in his first season.

For Lithuania, he has played 16 times. He made his debut on 1 March 2006 against Albania when he came on in the 60th minute for Mantas Savėnas. The friendly international match in Tirana won 2-1.
