Miao Miao

Miao Miao ( born January 14, 1981 in Tianjin, China) is an Australian table tennis player of Chinese origin. Together with Jian Fang Lay, it is the first Australian athlete, who has participated in four Olympic Games in table tennis. Among other successes, she is multiple winner in singles and doubles the Oceania Table Tennis Championships.

1995 Miao Miao European Champion of the students. From 1997 to 2012 she participated in eleven World Championships.

Life

Miao Miao's parents emigrated from 1994 to Poland, where her father was coach of the Polish table tennis ladies. There she played after her naturalization, on occasion in Gdansk also a translator for the young, today best Polish table tennis player Wang Zeng Yi. The family emigrated to Australia in 1997, after the daughter in Poland had already achieved success. In Australia they acclimated quickly and let junior successes, a number of national titles in individual follow in the seniors. Miao Miao lives in Melbourne.

In 2005 she moved to Germany and joined the club TV Rechberghausen to, with whom she played in the Regionalliga Süd 2005/ 06.
