Michael Denner
Michael Denner ( born November 5, 1958) is a Danish guitarist. Denner was known as a member of the bands Mercyful Fate and King Diamond.
Career
Denner began at the age of eleven years playing guitar after he first heard the music of Led Zeppelin. Influenced by Uli Jon Roth and Michael Schenker Denner joined in 1978, the cover band Starchaser, playing the songs of UFO and Kiss. In an appearance at school Denner was discovered by Hank Sherman (born René Krolmark ), the Denner took to his band Brats. After a short time Denner left the band again Brats and founded the band Danger Zone, the only released two demos.
After Denner of Sherman learned that King Diamond would be (born Kim Bendix Pedersen ) new singer of the band Brats Denner returned to this tape back, was out of Mercyful Fate. Following the temporary resolution of Mercyful Fate in 1985 Denner was a member of the solo band King Diamond, left this band but after the album Abigail. Then Denner founded together with Hank Sherman, the band Zozer Maz, who published only one album.
In 1992, Mercyful Fate reformed. After three studio albums Denner left the band again in 1996, as his newborn son was born with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Mid-2000s was one Denner at the band Force of Evil, which released two studio albums. In addition, Denner joined several times as a guest musician. For example, he played in 2008 on the album Volbeat Beyond Hell / Above Heaven with the song " 7 Shots" a guitar solo one.
Michael Denner is married and operates since 1988 in Copenhagen the record store Beat - Pop.
