Michael F. Farley

Michael Francis Farley (* March 1, 1863 in Birr, Ireland, † October 8, 1921 in New York City ) was an American politician. Between 1915 and 1917 he represented the State of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Michael Francis Farley was born during the Victorian era in Birr. In 1881 he immigrated to the United States and settled in the then still independent city of Brooklyn. He attended public schools in New York City. He then worked in the liquor store. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party.

In the congressional elections of 1914 for the 64th Congress Farley was in the 14th electoral district of New York in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Jefferson Monroe Levy on March 4, 1915. In 1916 he suffered in his re-election bid a defeat and retired after March 3, 1917 the Congress of.

After his conference time he went to his former shops. On 8 October 1921, he died in New York City and was then buried in the Calvary Cemetery.
