Michael Glatze

Michael Bald (* 1975 in Olympia, Washington, United States) was a co-founder of the magazine Young Gay America and activist of gay rights. His homosexuality was obvious, but this has changed in the meantime.

While Michael Glatzes mother known to Christianity, his father was agnostic. Glatzes father died when the son was thirteen years old, his mother in his twentieth year. Bald studied at Dartmouth College ( English literature, art and music ) and earned a bachelor's degree.

As a bald head for XY Magazine in San Francisco worked, he met Benjie Nycuma which subsequently became his partner for ten years. He founded his own magazine Young Gay America. Bald and Nycuma are also co-authors of XY Survival Guide ( 2000).

Starting in 2005, had several years of intense self-reflection to a conversion to Christianity, and a radical change of attitude to homosexuality, since he rejects as dangerous and sinful. He wrote about an article for WorldNetDaily.

His comments appear now rather conservative information forums. However, he also wrote in blogs that addressed directly to homosexuals. He was invited by the news portal CNN to explain his life story, the offer but did not accept. Meanwhile, he is criticized fundamentally from his former colleagues.

Bald lives in Colorado and has since May 2013 been married to his wife Rebekah.
