Michaël Guigou ( born January 28, 1982 in Apt, France ) is a French handball player. He is 1.79 m tall and weighs 78 kg.

Giugou, the peak for the French club Montpellier HB ( Rückennummer. 14) and plays for the French men's national handball team ( Rückennummer. 21) runs, is mostly used as a left winger.

In his youth, Michaël Guigou was still playing in the domestic Apt and in nearby Avignon, in 1999 but he was the top French club Montpellier HB contracted. With the South of France he won in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, the French Championships, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013 the French Cup, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 the French League Cup and the highlight of 2003, the EHF Champions League. Despite these successes Giugou remained but so far at Montpellier and refused foreign offers from always.

Michaël Guigou has played 190 international matches for the French men's national handball team. With France, he was at the World Handball Championship in Switzerland in 2006, in Austria in 2010 and 2014 in Denmark, European champion. In the Men's Handball World Championship for Men in Tunisia in 2005 he won the bronze medal; at the Men's Handball World Championship for Men in Germany in 2007 he also took part, failed in France but in the semifinals of the German team and finished at the end of the 4th Place. In the 2008 Olympics he won the gold medal. 2009 and 2011 he was World Champion with France. In the 2009 World Cup, he was elected to the All-Star Team as the best left winger. In the summer of 2012, he again took part in the Olympic Games in London, and again won the gold medal.
