Michael Hammers

Michael Hammer ( born August 1, 1965 in Aachen ) is a German artist and designer.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1984 at the Kaiser -Karls -Gymnasium Michael Hammers began his career as a blacksmith. After his apprenticeship he worked in several workshops.

In 1992 he passed the master's examination as a blacksmith and metal designer with honors, and in 1994 founded with the architect John nail the first nail Hammers.1997 own workshops began hammer with a classical vocal training.

2006 saw the launch of freelance work as an artist and designer, the introduction of Michael Hammers Artmanship. Among other things, he designed the Golden wall in the new house for Mozart at the Salzburg Festival. He turned his attention increasingly to also audiovisual works. His avant-garde film From the Infinity of the Cosmos, a tribute to Maria Callas, in 2007 at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, premiered.

2007 saw the establishment of the Michael Hammers Studios GmbH. There, working craftsmen, architects, designers and engineers together. Michael Hammers developed primarily artistic and basic technical concepts. His materials are metal, stone, wood, glass, light and color.

2008 Michael Hammer was appointed as cultural ambassador to the Federal Senate of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade
