Michael J. Flynn

Michael J. Flynn ( born May 20, 1934 in New York City ) is a retired American professor at Stanford University. He is co-founder of Palyn Associates with Max Paley and Chairman of Maxeler Technologies. In 1966 he published the Flynnsche classification for the subdivision of computer architectures.

1995 IEEE Harry H. Goode Memorial Award, he was awarded for his achievements in construction and classification of computer architecture. In 1992 he received the Eckert - Mauchly Award.
