Michael J. Nelson

Michael John Nelson ( born October 11, 1964 in St. Charles, Illinois ) is an American actor and comedian.

Life

Nelson studied drama at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, but interrupted his studies before the conclusion from. He worked subsequently as a waitress in the restaurant chain TGI Friday's and occasionally performed as a stand-up comedian. Almost by chance he was awarded in 1988 a temporary job with the Minnesota produced in low-budget TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000 on the local transmitter KTMA. When this was taken in 1989 in the second season of the Comedy Channel, he had already worked up to head writer. During the fifth season of the previous lead actor Joel Hodgson left the show, after which Nelson took over this role. In addition to his work as an author and actor, he has directed also at 18 episodes. The nominated for two Emmys series was until 1996 performed on the Comedy Channel and aired after a one-year interruption from 1997 to 1999 on the Sci Fi Channel. In addition, Universal Studios, a series based on the feature film was produced in 1996.

Since the end of the series Nelson worked as a producer for Legend Films, a company that specializes in the coloring of black-and- white films as well as 3D conversion. It also offers in MP3 format downloadable audio files, in which Nelson movies commented in a similar manner to that of Mystery Science Theater 3000. These must be played in sync with the movie by the buyer.

Nelson is married to the former Mystery Science Theater 3000 writer and actress Bridget Jones, the couple has two children.
