Michael Kaeshammer

Michael Kaeshammer ( born January 7, 1977 in Offenburg ) is a German jazz musician ( pianist, singer and arranger ).

Originally trained as a classical pianist, he discovered his love for boogie -woogie. He has presented several blues and jazz-oriented plates on which he interpreted both standards of jazz, boogie -woogie and blues as well as his own compositions and songs. He has toured with Harry Manx and is with Anne Murray on the go. On his albums he plays piano, Wurlitzer piano, rhodes and electric piano.

With his parents he moved first from Offenburg in a city near Sidney, British Columbia. His parents moved back to Germany, but left the house near Saanichs. After that, he lived for seven years in Vancouver. He later moved to Toronto and then to the United States after New Orleans. Today he lives in New York.
