Michael Nnachi Okoro

Michael Nnachi Okoro ( born 1 November 1940 in Adiabo ) is Bishop of Abakaliki.

Life

Michael Nnachi Okoro received on 19 December 1965, the ordination. Paul VI. appointed him on 27 June 1977 Auxiliary Bishop of Abakaliki and Titular Bishop of Castra Catabum.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Apostolic Delegate in Ghana and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Nigeria, Girolamo Prigione, on November 27 of the same year; Co-consecrators were Francis Arinze, Archbishop of Onitsha, and Thomas McGettrick PLC, Bishop of Abakaliki.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 19 February 1983 Bishop of Abakaliki.
