Michael Ridpath

Michael Ridpath (* 1961 in Devon ) is an English best-selling author and former banker.

Life

Ridpath grew up in Yorkshire and lives with his family in London. He worked after studying at Oxford as a trader for a major international bank, when he wrote his first story at age 29. In 1995, he landed with his book The speculator his first bestseller. With a curse, he began a series with the police detective Magnus Jonson, who is from Boston back to his native Iceland.
