Michael Scott (architect)

Michael Scott ( * June 24, 1905 in Drogheda, † 24 January 1989) was an Irish architect, characterize its buildings in the style of the modern cityscape of Dublin today to sustainably. His list comprises the central bus station in Dublin Busáras, the reconstruction of the local Abbey Theatre and the Hospital in Tullamore.

Life

Scott was born in Drogheda, but his family came from Kerry, a landscape, felt a lifetime strongly connected to the Scott. He attended Belvedere College in Dublin and wanted to be a painter, on the advice of his father, but he was an architect, as this profession promised a better life.

First, however, he was for a time working as an actor, including in the United States. In 1928 he founded his architectural firm Michael Scott Architects. Later, Ronnie Tallon and Robin Walker were added as a partner, so that the company was renamed in 1975 in Scott Tallon Walker. It still exists today.
