Michael Søgaard

Michael Skals Søgaard ( born February 4, 1969 in Sønderborg ) is a former Danish badminton player.

Career

Michael Søgaard was more than a decade one of the outstanding personalities in the badminton world. He was an outspoken and mixed doubles specialist - in these disciplines, he won all of his great successes. Full vornan three Bronzmedaillengewinne at world championships and four European titles accompanied by several dozen victories in Open Championships and podium finishes in all major international events. At the Olympics he started in 1996 and 2000, both the men's doubles as well as mixed and reached there in 2000 with 4th place in the Mixed his best finish.
