Michael Sheen

Michael Sheen OBE ( born February 5, 1969 in Newport ) is a British actor and worked primarily in the theater.

Life

He appeared in the BBC television series Gallowglass (based on the drama by Ruth Rendell ) and in the films Oscar Wilde ( 1997) - with and Mary Reilly - in which he played Robert Ross. Nevertheless, he remained primarily a stage actor and acted in productions such as Henry V, Peer Gynt, The Dresser, Caligula and Look Back in Anger.

Under director Shekhar Kapur Sheen in 2002 played an important supporting role in the period film The Four Feathers. In 2003, he had a central role in Len Wiseman's Underworld next to Kate Beckinsale. In the same year he played the British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the TV drama The Deal. He repeated this role in 2006 in Stephen Frears ' The Queen Drama alongside Helen Mirren. In the 2007 first-run documentary series Rome, he played the Emperor Nero. In addition, he completed a few guest appearances in the fourth season of the NBC comedy series 30 Rock.

For a time he lived with his then partner, Kate Beckinsale in the USA. After the end of the relationship he returned to Britain. The two have a daughter (* 1999), which grows in Beckinsale and her current husband Len Wiseman. Sheen lives and while working in London, but also has an apartment in Los Angeles and maintains regular contact with his daughter.

From 2010 to 2013 he was in a relationship with fellow actress Rachel McAdams, who he met on the set of Midnight in Paris.
