Michael Trucco

Edward Michael Trucco ( born June 22, 1970 in San Mateo, California) is an American actor.

Life

Trucco was born the son of a police officer in San Mateo and grew up there as well. Originally he planned to also be a police officer, but already during his time at Junipero Serra High School, he discovered his passion for acting.

First, however, he began to study sociology and criminal justice at Santa Clara University. His parents advised him to visit theater courses at the university, where he auditioned for a play. For this piece, he was not indeed taken, but put him close to the director to take a class in the Department of Theatre Studies. After the seminar, the same director Trucco suggested to change his major. His conclusion therefore eventually made Trucco in Theatre Studies ( Theatre Arts ) with a Bachelor of Arts.

After graduation he spent some time initially in the area around San Francisco Bay, shot commercials, played extras roles and worked as a stand-in for Matt Dillon. A year later he moved to Los Angeles, where he played mainly theater. During his participation in the play A Few Good Men ( filmed under the title A Few Good Men ), he was discovered by a talent scout, he was a manager and so came to the first supporting roles in film and television.

After a few guest appearances and minor roles in television productions Trucco was between 2005 and 2008 for his role as Samuel T. Anders in the remake of Battlestar Galactica a wide public. It was followed by other performances, such as in the movie Next alongside Nicolas Cage and on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
