Michael Zepek

Michael Zepek ( born January 19, 1981 in Bad Frederick Hall ) is a former German football player. He grew up in Siegelbach.

Career

The defender went through all the youth teams of the DFB and was considered a great talent. From 1999 to 2001 he played at Karlsruher SC - where he made his debut under coach Joachim Loew - one season in the 2nd Bundesliga and the Regionalliga Süd. He then moved to Bayer Leverkusen, where he came, however, only in the regional team to use. At that time there was also a free request by Real Madrid. After just one season he went to the second division LR Ahlen ( 19 games, 1 goal ) and then joined to the 2002 /03 another year at Karlsruher SC with 15 inserts on. From the 2004/05 season he played for three years at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the Regionalliga Süd, in which he ( 3 goals ) came to 61 games. In the 2007 /08 season he played in SV Elversberg, in the season 2008 /09 he was out of contract.

At the beginning of the season 2009/10 KSV Hessen Kassel announced to have signed him for three years. After he was cut off at the beginning of the 2011/12 season from the squad for the first team, he came under the new interim coach Holger Brück used again. At the end of the 2011/12 season he finished his career and is now working as player consultant.
