Michail Makarow

Mikhail Makarov ( born January 13, 1984 in Erfurt ) is a German bobsledder.

Mikhail Makarov is a student and lives in Jena. He runs Bobsleigh since 2004 and starts for the BSR Rennsteig Oberhof. In the four-man by Manuel Machata he won the 2006 title of World Junior Champion. In the same year he was also winner of the German Junior Championship. In 2007 he won in Altenberg at the Junior World Championships as well as in 2008 in Igls bronze. In 2009 he was in Koenigssee Vice Junior World Champion and 2010 he won the title again in St. Moritz, respectively in the four-man event.

For men, Makarov was in December 2005 in Igls his debut when he was 12 at the side of André Lange, Udo Lehmann and Thomas Pöge in the four-man event. 2006 followed by a further use in large sled of pilot Karl Angerer, in which he was only 18. In the 2007 /08 season Makarov came regularly in the carriage of Manuel Machata in Bob Europacup used. His first two races in the four-man event he won in Igls and Koenigssee. By 2010, he won Machata - Bob in which he usually in four, now and in the two-man bob came into use, six European Cup races.
