Michal Daněk

Michal Danek ( born July 6, 1983 in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech football player. The goalkeeper stands since 2012 with Dynamo České Budějovice under contract.

Club career

Danek began playing football in Hlučín, at the age of eight he moved to Banik Ostrava. For the 2002/03 season, the goalkeeper was included in the senior squad and was behind January Laštůvka and Martin Raška the number three.

Without commitment, he was loaned to the then second division side SK Kladno in July 2004, for which he completed 18 league games. In the first half of the season 2005/ 06 Danek was awarded to Chmel Blšany. He returned to the winter break back to Ostrava, but remained behind Raška only substitute keeper.

In the summer of 2006, former junior national team of Viktoria Plzen was committed, where he had a regular place safe from the beginning and has grown into one of the strongest goalkeepers in the league. In January 2008, Danek was until end of season on loan at English second division side West Bromwich Albion.

There he sat in the spring of 2008 on the bench and only came to inserts in the reserve team. In August 2008, West Bromwich Albion loosened the lending agreement on the goalkeeper, who then joined the FK Teplice. In January 2009, Danek returned to Pilsen. In early 2009 returned Danek back to Pilsen, where he was a regular keeper. For the 2010/11 season Danek moved for one year on loan to his former club Banik Ostrava.

National

Danek went through all Czech junior national teams from U -15 to U- 21st Overall, the goalkeeper completed 52 international matches during the junior level. In the game the Czech national team against Cyprus on 21 November 2007 Danek was sitting on the bench.
