Micheál Cranitch

Mícheál C. Cranitch ( born December 1, 1912 in Rathcormac, County Cork, † 23 November 1999 ) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician.

Biography

Cranitch was originally a teacher. In 1969, he was the Prime Minister ( Taoiseach ) Jack Lynch as a member of the Senate ( Seanad Eireann ) and was nominated this until his defeat in the Senate elections in 1973. During this time he was last seen briefly dated 3 January to 1 June 1973 Cathaoirleach and thus Senate President.

In October 1977 he was again elected a member of the Senate and represented in this until December 1982, the interest group Public administration and social services, the so-called Administrative Panel. After his defeat in the Senate elections in early 1983, he resigned from the Senate and retired from politics.
