Michel-Ange Houasse
Michel Ange Houasse (* 1680 in Paris, † 1730 in Arpajon ) was a French painter of the Baroque.
Life
His father was the painter René -Antoine Houasse. Michel Ange Houasse spent most of his life at the royal court of Spain by Philip V. Known he was for his portrait and genre painting. At the Spanish royal court, he portrayed, among other various members of the royal family. In later years of his life he got into professional conflicts with the French court painter Jean Ranc in Spain.
