Michel Pollien

Michel Pollien ( born August 22, 1937 in Paris, † January 15, 2013 ibid ) was Auxiliary Bishop of Paris.

Life

Michel Pollien studied at the seminary for late vocations in Morsang sur Orge and Issy les Moulineaux. He received on 25 June 1966, the ordination. He was vicar of Sainte -Marie des Batignolles (1966 /68), in Notre- Dame-de -la- Gare and mission ouvrière Paris -Sud. From 1968 to 1978 he was chaplain of the Catholic Action and 1978-1982 vicar of Saint -Jacques -Saint -Christophe in La Villette and dean of the 19th arrondissement. After working as Episcopal Vicar 1982-1987 Michel Pollien Vicar General ( Vicariat Nord-Est/délégation à l' Apostleship of laics ) was appointed.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 12 July 1996 in Paris and Titular Bishop of Pulcheriopolis. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, on 11 August of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Parisian Auxiliary Bishops Claude Frikart CIM and Georges Pierre Soubrier PSS.

He was a member of the French Bishops' Conference and a member of its Social Committee and Chairman of the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Society and a member of the Permanent Council and member of the Council for Migrants and associations of the faithful.

On August 31, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. be pre- attached for reasons of age resignation to. Michel Pollien died on 15 January 2013 at the age of 75 after a long illness.
