Michel Temer

Michel Miguel Elias Temeraire Lulia ( born September 23, 1940 in Tietê, São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian politician of the Partido do Movimento Democrático Brasileiro ( PMDB ), and Vice- President of Brazil.

Michel Temer comes from a Lebanese family who emigrated to Brazil in 1925. Temeraire studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC -SP ), where he received his doctorate. He worked as a lawyer and a professor at PUC -SP and is the author of several books on Brazilian Constitution. In 1983 he was prosecuting attorney in the state of São Paulo, a year later Minister of Public Security of the State.

Since 1981, Temeraire is a member of PMDB. 1995 to 1997 was, and since 2001 he is President of his party.

1987-1991 was Temeraire at the Constituent Assembly of Brazil. 1993 to 2011 he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies. 1997-2000 and 2009-2010 he was president of the Chamber of Deputies.

For the 2010 presidential elections Temeraire was nominated as a candidate for the vice-presidency under Dilma Rousseff of the Partido dos Trabalhadores ( PT). For his party formally joined for the first time at a coalition of PT on the presidential election. After Dilma Rousseff won the runoff on October 31, 2010 Fighting Temeraire took office as vice president on January 1, 2011.

Temeraire is married to his second wife and has from two marriages, and one illegitimate relationship of five children.
