Michl Ebner

Michl Ebner ( born September 20, 1952 as Michael Ebner in Bolzano, South Tyrol ) is a South Tyrolean entrepreneur, publisher, author and politician of the South Tyrolean People's Party.

Life

Michl Ebner was born and grew up as the son of the politician and journalist Toni Ebner in Bolzano. His mother Martha is a niece of Canon Michael Gamper.

Ebner has studied law in Innsbruck, Padua and Bologna. He is a member of the Catholic students Corporation KStV Rhenaniastraße Innsbruck and the KMV Laurin Bolzano Round Table.

Political career

Michl Ebner appeared in 1973 in the Young Generation ( JG) of the South Tyrolean People's Party a. In the same year he became a member of the SVP local committee Bolzano center. In 1980 he was JG- speaker in Bolzano. From 1979 to 1996, he stands as chairman before the SVP local committee Bolzano center. In 1979, he was the first non- Selected in the early parliamentary elections and moved in place of the recently deceased parliamentarian Hugo Gamper in the Italian Chamber of Deputies after. 1983, 1987 and 1992, Ebner was re-elected to the Italian Parliament. In the European elections in 1994 Michl Ebner won 106 693. Preference votes and moved into the European Parliament for the SVP. As the South Tyrolean MEP Ebner was confirmed in 1999 and 2004. Athesiadruck Chamber of Commerce and

The Ebner family has a relative majority at the publishing house Athesiadruck. Michl Ebner is the Chairman and Managing Director of Athesiadruck. His brother Toni Ebner is the chief editor of the Dolomites.

2008 Ebner was elected President of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture Chamber (short Chamber of Commerce) chosen Bolzano, which is encountered Landtagsfraktion due to possible conflicts of interest in pre-election criticism of the Greens.
