Mickowsee

The Mickowsee is one belonging to the Sternberg Lake District lake in the municipality of Kuhlen - Wendorf in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim, Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. It has an approximate length of about 2.1 kilometers, a width of 900 meters and an average depth of 0.7 meters. It is crossed by the Warnow river in south-north direction. The shores are completely surrounded by a reed belt. The Mickowsee is used as fishing waters and is not suitable for swimming because of the small depth and muddy lake bottom. Before the Second World War, the lake was used as a bombing practice area of the Wehrmacht. In the southern part there is a vorlagerte bay. The lake is located on the water trail of the Warnow.

On the north bank the mansion Nutteln, historistisches a building from the 19th century is located.

The Mickowsee and its riparian areas are part of the nature reserve Warnow lakes.
