Midnight Star

Midnight Star was a synth - funk music group of the 1980s with R & B influences. The band was active from 1976 to 1990.

Band History

The group was founded at the Kentucky State University by Reginald Calloway ( trumpet ), his brother Vincent ( trombone ) and singer Belinda Lipscomb 1976. Their first album, The Beginning was released in 1980 by RCA Records. The studio band the record company was involved. 1981 made ​​it the second album Standing Together to No. 54 of the top R & B charts. 1982 changed to Midnight Star label SOLAR Records, appeared under the their third album Victory. At this time, the trio had already built up to a full band. The fourth album No Parking on the Dance Floor came out in 1983.
