Midrange computer

Midrange computer ( from the Engl, mutatis mutandis average computer ) are a class of computers for use in science and industry, which are located between the mainframe and personal computers.

History

In the 1960s, the minicomputer emerged as a new, compact computer class small business systems for small to medium sized organizations. The Digital Equipment Corporation offered the PDP models, Hewlett -Packard HP3000 models and the IBM system / 3
