Midwestern State University

The Midwestern State University (also called MWSU ) is a public university in Wichita Falls, Texas. It is located halfway between Dallas and Oklahoma City. Currently here are enrolled 6,480 students.

History

MSU was founded in 1922 as Wichita Falls Junior College. Since 1975, Midwestern State University is under this name on the current campus. This was preceded by several moves and name changes.

The MSU currently has seven colleges.

  • Education ( West College of Education)
  • Fine Arts ( Fain College of Fine Arts)
  • Economics ( Dillard College of Business Administration)
  • College of Science and Mathematics

There is a cooperation with the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.

Sports

The sports teams of the MSU are the Mustangs. The university is a member of the Lone Star Conference.
