Miguel Peña Municipality

Miguel Peña is one of the nine districts of the municipality of Valencia and belongs to the state of Carabobo (Venezuela ). The district Miguel Peña is located in the southeastern part of the community. The name of the district derives from the well-known politician Miguel Peña (1781-1833) Valencia from the early days of the state.

Population

Miguel Peña had about 550,000 inhabitants in 2007, making it the most populous district of Valencia.

Demographics

This region has grown rapidly due to the large immigration in the last 40 years.

Attractions

  • Recreacional Parque del Sur: a park with numerous entertainment centers.
  • Plaza de Toros Monumental de Valencia, originally one of the largest bullrings in the world. Nowadays, the place is also used for other activities such as concerts and exhibitions.
