Mike Holland (ski jumper)

Mike Holland ( born December 11, 1961) is an American ski jumper.

Career

Holland achieved several podium places in the Ski Jumping World Cup, was a five-time U.S. national champion and world record holder for 27 minutes for the longest ski jump.

He won with 186 meters in 1985 distance record in ski jumping in Planica, before he was 27 minutes later surpassed by Matti Nykänens 189 - meter jump. His best results in World Cup competitions in 1989 were a first place in Bischofshofen, and second places in Harrachov, Czech Republic in 1987, Planica 1984.

Mike Holland came from a family winter sports. In addition to his U.S. Championships, she also won the U.S. championship title by his brothers Jim and Joe Holland Holland in ski jumping in the Nordic combined.
