Mike Nickeas

Michael James Nickeas ( born February 13, 1983 in Vancouver, British Columbia ) is a Canadian baseball player with U.S. citizenship in Major League Baseball. Nickeas plays since his MLB debut in 2010 for the New York Mets and acts on the position of catcher.

At the time of his birth father Mark Nickeas played football for the Vancouver Whitecaps in the NASL. His father was born in England, his mother American woman.

Grew up and went to high school is Nickeas in Westlake Village in the State of California. He then attended the Georgia Tech in Atlanta, where he spent three years in baseball team running.

When MLB Draft 2005 Nickeas was selected in the fifth round by the Texas Rangers. As a result, he played for various minor league teams in the Rangers before he was transferred on 30 August 2006 to the New York Mets.

In the years 2007 to 2010, he came to the Mets minor league team St. Lucie Mets, Binghamton Mets and New Orleans Zephyrs used.

His MLB debut Nickeas on 2 September 2010 against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. His first two hits get him on September 29 against the Milwaukee Brewers.
