Mike Reid (singer)

Mike Reid ( born May 24, 1947 in Altoona, Pennsylvania) is an American country musician and songwriter, who wrote several number - one hits in the 1980s and 1990s.

Life

Mike Reid was initially successful as a football player before injuries forced him to surrender. During his athletic career he had played in various bands. In addition, he had graduated as a child of classical piano training. After a knee injury began with writing country songs. In 1975, he joined the Apple Butter on tape.

In 1980, he moved to Nashville, where he was hired by the music publisher ATV Publishing as a songwriter. After 18 months, he moved to Milsap Music. 1982 Ronnie Milsap scored with his song Stranger In My House a number 1 hit.
