Mike Zeck

Mike Zeck ( born September 6, 1949 in Greenville, Pennsylvania) is an American comic book artist.

Life and work

Zeck started working as a professional cartoonist in the 1970s. Previously, he trained as an academic artist at the Ringling School of Art His first professional work he laid for the Animated label of the publisher Charlton Comics before. This was followed by signatories Jobs for Charlton's horror series before Zeck in 1977 moved to the Publisher Marvel Comics, for whom he designed the martial arts series Master of Kung Fu.

Zecks best-known works are the illustrations for the twelve-part maxi series Secret Wars and J. M. DeMatteis wrote Spider-Man storyline " Kraven 's Last Hunt " from the year 1987. 1985 / 1986 he also designed one, written by Steve Grant, classic mini-series to the anti-hero Punisher.

Since then, Zeck has operated mainly as a guest artist. He visualized editions of the series Aquaman, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, Green Lantern, Deathstroke and Lobo for DC Comics, as well as GI Joe and Captain America for Marvel Comics.
