Mikhail Fonin

Mikhail Mikhailovich Fonin (Russian: Михаил Михайлович Фонин; * 1905, † 1974) was from 1939 to 1947 General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Turkmen SSR.

Mikhail Fonin was born in 1905 and entered 1929, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. He soon rose to the rank of the party. In 1939 he was appointed General Secretary of the Turkmen SSR, and remained until March 1947 in this office. As Secretary General, he was replaced by malicious damage Batyrow. Mikhail Fonin was the last ethnic Russians in this position, then this office was clothed only by Turkmen. In the 1950s he worked until his death in the Soviet Ministry of Agriculture. Fonin died 1974.
