Mikhail Illarionovich Vorontsov

Michael Larionowitsch Vorontsov (Russian: Михаил Илларионович Воронцов; born July 12, 1714 † February 15, 1767 in Saint Petersburg ) was a Russian nobleman and politician.

Vorontsov is considered a favorite of the Empress Elizabeth, at whose court he works before her coronation as a valet. 1741 she became empress of Russia and raised him as many other minions in 1744 the title of count and at the same time him vice chancellor, who was responsible for foreign policy. Previously, he had married in 1742 Countess Anna Karlovna Skawronskaja, a cousin of the Empress.
