Mikkelin Jukurit

Mikkelin Jukurit is a Finnish professional ice hockey club based in Mikkeli, which was founded in 1970 and plays in the Mestis. Your home matches played the team in the 4500 -seat end Kalevankankaan Jäähalli.

After the club had previously spent several years in the third-class Suomi- sarja, succeeded by winning the championship in the 1999/2000 season promotion to the second highest league, which Mestis. In the three following years, the team won the championship in each of the Mestis, however, the team remained the rise in the SM- liiga denied. In the seasons 2003 /04 to 2007/ 08 the club finished each have a place in the top three and won the 2005/06 fourth championship in the Mestis. Jukurit is therefore to this day the most successful team in Mestis.

In spring 2007 Jukurit had the opportunity to advance in the SM- liiga. In the League qualification, the team failed to KalPa Kuopio and therefore continues to play in Mestis. 2013 won Jukurit another Mestis championship, but failed again in the Relegation SM- liiga for, this time with 1:4 at Ilves Tampere.
