Mikko Sirén

Mikko Sirén ( born December 31, 1975 in Helsinki) is a Finnish multi-instrumentalist and composer. As a member of the Finnish bands Apocalyptica and Megaphone Kengurumeininki he is mainly active as a drummer. He's he worked in the areas of metal, rock and classical music.

Biography

At the age of six years Sirén was the first time drum lessons. He is since 2003 part of the live shows of Apocalyptica, but only since December 2005 officially permanent member. In 2009 he took up the drums for Elias Viljanens third album Fire - Hearted. He also wrote with band member Perttu Kivilaakso the soundtrack for the video game Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

Sirén is in possession of a degree in jazz studies. In addition Sirén writes his own blog Ilmasto on hot ( to German: The hot climate), in which he calls for climate protection.

Since 2013 he is an official member of the band Emigrate.
