Miklós Izsó

Nicholas Izsó [ ischo ] (Hungarian: Miklós Izsó; born September 9, 1831 in Disznóshorvát, † May 29, 1875 in Budapest) was a Hungarian sculptor.

Izsó studied in Sárospatak was Honved and came following after the lost battle of Világos, his inclination, with the sculptor István Ferenczy in the doctrine, then worked at Gasser in Vienna and moved to Munich, where he earned the statuette of grieving shepherd later reputation established.

After returning to plague, he was commissioned to make the statue to the monument of the poet Csokonai in Debrecen, which task he loosened happy. He pointed out several portrait busts with sharply defined national characteristics as well as a number of models for statuettes of national genre, leaving behind the nearly finished model to Petőfi monument has been erected in Pest.
